FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Hours: *Closed until November 2019 (opening date to be announced). Typically 10am – 4pm Saturday, 12 noon – 4pm Sunday, 12 noon - 4pm Tuesday through Friday (Closed Monday).
Pricing: Depends on variety and size, but typically expect local, 100% organic farm products to cost more than trees grown fast with concentrated fertilizers, sprayed with toxic chemicals (the cheapest and easiest way to deal with weeds, pests, and diseases), or grown elsewhere with low cost labor and shipped in by truck.
Snacks: Hot cocoa and treats for the kids are always free to customers! All we ask is a smile. Don’t forget to tag @ButtonwoodFarms when you post photos of your smiling child to Facebook. We love to see the faces of happy kids on the Farm!
Dogs: What day on the farm would be complete with your family’s best friend? Feel free to bring the dog! All we ask is that you keep them leashed (as there are many tempting smells, and some guests who may not be as comfortable around your pet), and clean up after them as appropriate.
Preservative: We provide a free bottle of preservative with every tree purchase for our U-Cut Club customers.
Accessories: We stock the most important accessories to keep your tree clean and fresh throughout the Christmas season, including medium and large Christmas Tree stands, skirts that turn into removal bags, absorbant floor mats, and long neck watering funnels.
Delivery and Setup: Buttonwood Farm offers full service delivery and setup for an additional charge. Inquire about these options during checkout.
Photographers: Buttonwood Farm is a photogenic setting for sure, great for holiday photos. We are happy to have our customers take photos while choosing and cutting your tree, and our helpful staff is always available to snap pictures of your family while choosing and cutting your tree as well. Professional photographers or photo-only visits are available by appointment only, for those photographers in our partnership program. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for details about joining the program and location fees. We will be happy to sign up qualifying photographers as partners and schedule times for your photo sessions that work with our employees’ schedules, and don’t conflict with peak hours.
School Field Trips: We love hosting classes of young children to choose a tree for their classroom! Please email email@example.com to schedule a visit.
Wagon Rides: Buttonwood Farm is a natural farm designed for walking, we don’t offer carnival rides or attractions other than the best Christmas Trees anywhere, free treats, great photos, and plenty of smiles!
Mud: Yes, this is Seattle winter, and we are a 100% organic farm - expect mud! Wear your mud boots. Wear high heels at your own risk (you know who you are!)
